Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Escronet is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
Data We Collect
When you register, we generate an anonymous device identifier and collect a Firebase device token to send push notifications. No email address or password is required. Caller phone numbers are synchronised to your device to identify unknown callers. If you pair with a guardian, we store the association between your account and theirs. When a call is classified as suspicious, we store an anonymised risk event (risk level and timestamp only) to notify your guardian.
What We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit your call audio. We do not collect or store call transcripts. All audio capture, Whisper transcription, and ONNX classification run entirely on your device and never leave it.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to provide the service: sending push notifications to you and your guardian when a suspicious call is detected, synchronising caller reputation data to your device, and maintaining guardian–user relationships.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data to any third party. Risk event notifications are shared with your guardian only if you have explicitly paired with one. We use Google Firebase for push notifications; Firebase processes device tokens according to Google's Privacy Policy.
Data Retention
Alert data is retained for 12 months from creation. Account and guardian relationship data is retained until you delete your account. You may request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
Android Permissions
The app requests the following permissions: Phone State — to detect incoming calls; Microphone — to transcribe audio locally (no audio leaves your device); Contacts — to identify unknown callers; SMS — to detect OTP codes sent during calls; Notifications — to alert you and your guardian.
Security
All data in transit between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. We follow industry-standard practices to secure stored data.
